Editor productivity
The browser writes model files immediately. It supports multi-selection, deterministic alignment and layouts, inline rename, reviewable literal find/replace, and reversible session history.
Selection
Click selects an object. Modifier-click adds or removes it from a group. A rectangle selects every intersecting entity.
Move/delete/area assignment
Dragging a selected group records one move, using diagram units. Delete removes selected relationships before entities and cleans their area membership. Assigning an area changes membership without creating an area. Browser edits write files immediately after validation.
Copy/paste and copied references
Copying entities creates deterministic _copy names and carries their attributes, keys, terms, properties and classifications. A selected relationship is copied only when both endpoint entities are copied, and its endpoints and column pairs point to the copies. Attribute-only paste requires one target entity and does not copy key membership.
Alignment/distribution
Alignment uses the selected boxes' deterministic anchors. Distribution holds the outer boxes and spreads intermediate box centers evenly. These commands leave unselected entities unchanged.
Layered and compact layout
The layered command arranges relationships in a stable order. The compact command places the current selection in a stable grid and preserves its origin.
Inline rename
Press Rename while an object is selected to edit its name in place. Renaming uses the same reference-safe model edit as the object forms, so relationships, keys, areas and mappings remain consistent.
Find/replace review
Find and replace is literal text matching. The review list makes every candidate visible before it is applied.
Undo/redo session lifetime and stale history
Each browser mutation is an operation with exact file bytes. Undo and redo verify the current fingerprint before changing files.
History belongs to the server session. Reloading a page keeps it, while restarting the server begins a new session history.
Keyboard command labels
Visible commands include Undo (Ctrl+Z), Redo (Ctrl+Shift+Z), Copy (Ctrl+C), Paste (Ctrl+V), Delete selection (Delete), Rename (F2), and Find and replace (Ctrl+F). Inputs retain their native keyboard behaviour.
Accessibility
Every command has a visible text label; controls do not depend on hover-only tooltips. Keyboard and pointer selection use the same command path, and find/replace presents a checkbox for every reviewed change.
Files
The editor performs the same validation and minimal rewriting used by ordinary browser edits. A failed operation leaves both the model and its history unchanged.
